Does any of this sound familiar?

I've spent so long being who everyone else needed (or what I thought I needed to be) that I'm no longer sure who I am.

I feel stuck, exhausted or overwhelmed but I can't really explain why.

I know something needs to change, but I don't know where to begin.

I've achieved what I thought would make me happy, but something still feels missing.

I'm tired of forcing myself into a life that doesn't truly fit me.

I'm craving a life that feels more authentic, meaningful and aligned.

If you're nodding along, you're in the right place.

Meet Sarah

Hi, I'm Sarah.

I'm a life coach and educator based in the Scottish Borders. I help women and AFAB people reconnect with themselves, understand what's holding them back and move towards a life that feels more aligned with who they truly are.

Whether you're navigating a major life transition, feeling lost or burnt out, exploring your purpose or making sense of a neurodivergent identity, coaching with me can provide space, support and clarity to help you move forward.

Why work with me?

Lived experience

As a midlife woman on her own development (and neurodiversity) journey, I understand the challenges and discoveries that come along with this.

Professional experience

More than a decade working in education alongside professional coaching training and ongoing neurodiversity-specific development.

Creative, individualised coaching

No one-size-fits-all solutions. We'll create an approach that works for you, your values and your life. I coach you; I don't provide a generic coaching package.

Life is too short to spend it living by someone else's rules. Let's explore what life could look like when it's built around who you really are and what you could really become.
No pressure. No obligation. No hard sell. Just a genuine conversation.

About me

Hi — I'm Sarah.

I live in the beautiful Scottish Borders with my husband and two children, and I'm here to help women like you navigate these kinds of questions — and so much more.

I work with women aged 30–60 — both neurotypical and neurodivergent — who feel frustrated, exhausted, stuck or out of sync in some area of their lives. Together, we explore what's no longer working, reconnect with who they truly are, and create a path towards a life that feels more authentic, aligned and fulfilling.

Although I'm Borders-based, we don't have to meet in person. I offer online and phone coaching, walking coaching out in nature, and mindful art coaching — so we can choose the setting that helps you think and open up most easily.

Sarah, natural light

Why work with me?

I've worked in secondary education since 2010, I'm a professional traditional musician and I'm also a qualified life coach. Through all of these experiences, I've seen the same pattern over and over again: women doing all the things, spinning all the plates, chasing all the goals… yet still feeling like something is missing. Something feels off, even when life looks "fine" on paper.

I work creatively and collaboratively with my clients to support growth that feels aligned, sustainable and genuinely enjoyable. I'll encourage you, challenge you, cheerlead you and help you reconnect with the version of yourself that may have been buried under years of expectations, pressure or simply putting everyone else first.

One of my favourite parts of coaching is helping people experience those "lightbulb moments" — when things suddenly make sense, perspectives shift and they begin moving towards a life that feels truly theirs.

Life is too short to live someone else's life.

I'm deeply values-led and strive to live with integrity, compassion and authenticity. I'm also a recovering perfectionist and a bit of a "dog with a bone" when something matters to me.

Most of all, I genuinely love people. I love deep conversations, meaningful connection and understanding what really makes us tick beneath the surface. People often describe me as empathetic, creative and thoughtful — someone who wants to make the world a better place.

When I'm not coaching, you'll usually find me immersed in music, art, food, yoga, reading or being outdoors. I've completed a couple of half-marathons (not fast or glamorous, but they got done!), and I absolutely love a project: building bands, renovating houses, creating courses, growing this business… I love learning, evolving and creating meaningful things.

Coaching allows me to bring all of that together, and I truly love the work I do.

AuDHD & Neurodiversity Coaching

Understand yourself, embrace your neurodivergence and build a life that genuinely fits.

Helping teens, women and AFAB people who are autistic, ADHD or AuDHD — or beginning to wonder whether they might be neurodivergent. You don't have to figure it all out alone.

Perhaps you're wondering whether you're neurodivergent. Maybe you're self-diagnosed or going through the diagnosis process. Maybe you've recently been diagnosed and are trying to make sense of what that means. Maybe you're exhausted from masking, struggling with burnout, feeling misunderstood or wondering why life seems harder for you than it appears to be for everyone else.

You may have spent years feeling different, too much, not enough or simply out of step with the world around you.

As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman myself, I understand how powerful — and sometimes overwhelming — it can be when things finally start to make sense.

Whatever stage you're at in your neurodiversity journey, coaching can provide a supportive space to better understand yourself, work with your brain rather than against it, and build a life that genuinely fits you.

I can support you with

Understanding and processing a diagnosis

Unmasking and reconnecting with your authentic self

Managing overwhelm and avoiding burnout

Building self-trust and self-acceptance

Navigating relationships, work and life as a neurodivergent person

Finding a way forward that honours your strengths, needs and values

Many of the themes on my main coaching page — feeling stuck, lost, exhausted or disconnected from yourself — are also common experiences for neurodivergent women. The difference is that we'll explore them through a neurodivergent lens.

Coaching for teenage girls & AFAB young people

Alongside my coaching work, I've worked in secondary education since 2010. I combine my experience as both an educator and coach to support autistic, ADHD and AuDHD teenage girls and AFAB young people.

Having someone who understands neurodivergence during these formative years — with loads of experience of working with teenagers — can make an enormous difference to confidence, self-understanding and wellbeing.

As someone who was diagnosed later in life, I often think about how different things might have been if I'd had that understanding and support earlier. Being able to help create that experience for the next generation feels incredibly important to me.

Why work with me?

I'm currently undertaking additional neurodiversity-specific coaching training to deepen my knowledge and skills. Alongside this professional development, I bring something equally valuable: lived experience. I've walked this path myself.

I know what it's like to spend years not quite understanding why things felt harder than they seemed to for everyone else. I know the relief, grief, validation and self-discovery that can come with recognising your neurodivergence.

My approach is grounded in acceptance, curiosity and compassion. No judgement. No stereotypes. No trying to "fix" you. Just a supportive space to understand yourself more deeply and create a life that works for you.

If you'd like to find out more — and see whether I might be the right person to support you — you're very welcome to book a free 20-minute discovery call.

No pressure. No obligation. No hard sell. Just a genuine conversation to see where you are, what you need and whether we feel like a good fit.

How coaching works

We start with a free 20-minute discovery call to see where you are, what you need and whether we feel like a good fit. Most people then work in a block of sessions — real change takes time to bed in, much like you wouldn't expect lasting results from a single gym session. From there, the format, frequency and focus are all yours to steer.

Who it's for

Women, AFAB people and neurodivergent teens who feel stuck, exhausted, overwhelmed or ready for change — and want support that's warm, creative and completely centred on them.

The best first step costs nothing — just a genuine conversation.

What clients say

A few words from people I've had the privilege of working with. Every journey is different, but a supportive, non-judgmental space to think is something they've all valued.

"Coaching with Sarah was personal and ensured my goals at every step of my journey. I felt empowered to seek my path and to look at the boundaries I would need to create the work–life balance I needed. Sarah is trustworthy and friendly but will ask the sometimes hard questions to support. She can clarify and enable each individual to find the perfect pathway in a person-centred way."

Lorna

"I have found my coaching sessions with Sarah really valuable. I started without a clear idea of what I wanted coaching on, but Sarah has a natural ability to ask the right questions and helped identify what was important. She helped me decide on measurable and achievable goals and built accountability into the process, which has kept me motivated between sessions. Sarah creates a supportive, non-judgmental space and has helped me gain a better understanding of myself. I'm very grateful for the experience and would highly recommend her to anyone considering coaching!"

Emma

"I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a coach. She is compassionate, insightful and genuinely committed to helping clients create meaningful lasting change. Her coaching helped me step back and reassess what really matters, enabling me to prioritise the importance of my own well-being and giving myself permission to make a genuine change. She listens with empathy, asks insightful questions and gently challenges you to see things from new perspectives."

Annie

"I've had life coaching before and I was drawn to Sarah because she has that very real and grounded quality I look for in a coach. Sarah listens carefully and reflects back the things she hears, but most importantly she notices the way I express something and helps me explore it with curiosity and find practical ways to create more ease with any worries or challenges I've been experiencing. She is very knowledgeable, so is able to recognise patterns in the things I'm expressing and wrestling with. If you too are looking for a coach who is confident, grounded, compassionate AND completely focused on your journey, I'd highly recommend Sarah."

Common questions

What happens on a discovery call?

It's a relaxed, no-obligation 20-minute chat. We'll talk about where you are and what you're hoping for, and you can get a feel for how I work. There's no pressure to book anything afterwards.

Do we have to meet in person?

Not at all. I'm based in the Scottish Borders but offer online and phone coaching wherever you are, as well as walking coaching and mindful art coaching if you'd like a more creative or active setting.

Do I need a diagnosis to access AuDHD coaching?

No. Whether you're self-identifying, going through the diagnosis process, recently diagnosed or simply wondering, you're welcome. Coaching is about understanding and supporting you as you are.

How many sessions will I need?

Coaching generally works in blocks — my packages are built around six sessions, which gives enough time for things to properly shift and settle. At the end of a block you can stop there, or book another block if you'd like to keep going. How many blocks you do is entirely your call, and something we'll talk through together as we go. Some people also come for a single session on one specific thing, and that's absolutely fine too. We'll work out what fits on your discovery call.
